How WARN works in Pennsylvania.
The federal WARN Act covers employers with 100 or more full-time workers. It requires 60 days' written notice before a plant closing that affects 50 or more workers at one site, or a mass layoff of 500 or more workers (or 50 to 499 when that is at least a third of the site).
Federal WARN (100+ employees, 60 days' notice) is the only rule in Pennsylvania.
