We point you to good information and vetted people; the decisions stay yours. Be honest, don't misuse the site, and know that the professionals we connect you with are responsible for their own advice.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and PinkSlipped ("we," "us"). By using gotpinkslipped.com, creating an account, or submitting anything to us, you're agreeing to them. If something here doesn't sit right, write to us at hello@gotpinkslipped.com before you use the site.
What PinkSlipped is — and isn't
PinkSlipped helps you navigate the period after a layoff: plain-language guidance, checklists, a directory of alumni communities, layoff news, and connections to vetted professionals. Everything on this site is general information, offered to help you get oriented.
It is not professional advice. Nothing here is legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or medical or mental-health care, and reading it doesn't create an attorney-client, advisor, or care relationship with us. Severance agreements, benefits elections, and legal claims have real deadlines and real stakes — before you act on any of them, talk to a qualified professional about your specific situation.
When we connect you with a partner — a lawyer, a financial planner, a coach — your relationship is with them, on their terms and their engagement agreements. We vet who we list, but we don't supervise their work and we aren't a party to the advice they give you.
Who can use PinkSlipped
You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. PinkSlipped is built for adults navigating job loss; it isn't directed to children.
Your account
You sign in with your email and a password. Keep your inbox secure, don't share sign-in links, and tell us if you think someone else has gotten into your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account until you do.
What you share with us
When you submit something — intake answers, a pack for the directory, a note to our team — you promise it's honest and yours to share. You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to use it to run PinkSlipped: to build your plan, to verify and publish pack listings, and to improve the service. How we handle your personal data is covered in our Privacy Policy.
Pack submissions we publish are shown without your name. The "how you know about it" field is for verification only and is never published.
Using the site
Use PinkSlipped for what it's for. Don't scrape or resell the content, misrepresent who you are, submit packs you know are wrong or harmful, probe or break the security of the site, or use it to spam or harass anyone. We can remove content or suspend accounts that do.
Our content
The writing, design, kits, and everything else we've made here belong to PinkSlipped. The free kits are meant to be downloaded, printed, and shared with anyone who needs them — please do. For anything beyond personal, non-commercial use, ask us first.
Third parties
We link out to communities, tools, and news sources we don't control, and our partners operate their own services under their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for what happens on their side of the door.
Availability and changes
PinkSlipped is young and improving weekly. Features will change, pages will move, and sometimes the site will be down. We provide the site "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, and we don't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
Our responsibility to you, limited
We work hard to make PinkSlipped accurate and useful, but the decisions you make — and their outcomes — are yours. To the fullest extent the law allows, PinkSlipped isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
If we part ways
You can stop using PinkSlipped any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and data — see the Privacy Policy for how. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. The sections that by their nature should survive — like ours and your responsibilities for past actions — do.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. If something goes wrong, email us first — hello@gotpinkslipped.com — and we'll try to sort it out like people. If we can't, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you and we each consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we'll make it clear on the site before it takes effect. Using PinkSlipped after that means you accept the updated terms.
